Though the website talks about “A Day at our House,” what do I do every day?
The day usually starts around 8:30. I wake up, and head down for breakfast. We usually have cereal, cereal bars, or pop tarts. On special occasions we have pancakes or muffins. I love it when we have chocolate chip pancakes on my birthday. After breakfast, I brush my teeth.
Then, we start school. School starts with reading where I read out of an A Beka book and answer questions about what I just read. Then I do Read & Comprehend. Read & Comprehend is much similar to reading, except I’ve only 4 minutes to read the story and answer the questions. Then I do language. Then I do spelling. Then I do handwriting. Then I do science. Around that time we have lunch. Then I do history. History is my favorite subject. Then I do math. Math is my least favorite subject. Gabrielle dislikes math too, so we made a club called “The Reading Club” because we both enjoy reading fictional books. After math, we write in our journals about what we did that day in school. School usually ends at 3:00.
Then, I read my Bible. I am currently in II Kings. Then I usually read in my Mandie book. I like the Mandie books because it is about a Christian child who enjoys solving mysteries with her friends. Then I usually on the computer. I am currently typing a story on the computer titled The Country Boy.
Jeremiah also enjoys playing on the computer. He usually plays games like the ones on ABC Mouse and Disney.go.com. Gabrielle also enjoys playing on the computer. Elijah enjoyed playing on Mommy’s iPad until Elijah got in trouble because he messed up all the settings on it.
At 5:30, Daddy comes home. On some nights me and him go out and shoot my new Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun. Daddy has a BB gun too that says on it Daisy Powerline. On some nights we have a movie night. Movie nights are fun because we have popcorn, chocolate covered raisins, chocolate covered peanuts, and other delicious things.
Then Daddy comes and tucks us in. Daddy usually tells us a story. Some of his stories are “The Gold Bars”. On some nights one of us children might tell a story or act something out for Daddy.
This is the first time I have written something that would go online, so I just decided to tell what our life is like from my point of view.
